North Carolina is in a state of flux and the winds of change are swirling. The need for bold dedicated leadership, and representation has never been more urgent than it is right now!
Now is the time to set forward the necessary legislation to Ensure Economic Equality and Sustainability; Revamp our Housing and Development Focus; Protect our Judiciary from Legislative Influence; Ensure Healthcare Accessibility to all North Carolina Citizens; Create a More Comprehensive Infrastructure Program; and Improve our Educational System.
This is why I am honored to announce my candidacy for North Carolina House District 112! I look forward to working with you and for you to make the State, the District, and the lives of all North Carolinians better!
ECONOMIC EQUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Propose and support legislation specifically target to foster Economic Equality and Sustainability
Create opportunities and incentives that foster the development and increase of small businesses.
Create opportunities and incentives that increase workforce availability, building, and training, through public and private education and training programs.
HOUSING AND DEVELOPMENT
Revamp our housing development focus to ensure accessibility and regulation
Put in place the necessary legislation that protects each of us from outside developers acquiring property.
We need to explore alternatives to private developer built housing.
Protect our Judiciary from Legislative Influence
Preserve and protect an independent judiciary
Block any legislation that would degrade the institutional strength of the judiciary and that would compromise their commitment to fairness and justice
Prevent "merit selection" which would allow the legislature total control over who sits on the bench
Ensure Healthcare Accessibility to All Citizens
Push for Medi-care/Medi-caid Expansion.
Combine with private sectors to develop universal health care programs that will be available to all North Carolinians.
Create a more Comprehensive Infrastructure Program
Review and revise current transportation programs to become more in line with the communities they serve.
To update current infrastructural goals to include the development of not only roads, but pedestrian traffic as well.
Create a broader, more inclusive bidding system for accepting contracts.
Improve our Educational System
Propose and support legislation to improve our educational system.
Foster the development of additional education programs centering on Early Childhood Development.
Increase Adult Education/Continuing Education programs that offer degrees or trade certifications.
